E-mail III
(from a home computer user's standpoint)
Microsoft Internet Explorer
(MSIE5.0)
Note: if you use Netscape, I will
be building IBT Browser Pages for you soon.
So, now that we have seen the Inbox and the explanations for the Icons, let's move on to the next step. Let's suppose that I want to save the message in my IBT folder. Well...using some of the standard Windows tricks, I can simply point to my message in the upper right side text box, point at the message (Subject area)...or my name (From area) on the message, left click and hold the left click button down, then drag the message over to the left side text box, put it over the IBT folder, and then drop the message (let go of the left mouse button.) And, like magic, the message disappears into the IBT folder. It's the old Drag and Drop tool in Windows...use it a million times, in a million places....right?
How do I know it actually went in the folder? Simple, I just point to the IBT folder with my mouse pointer, left click once, and the folder will open. In the top right side text box, I'll see the message header (from etc.) and in the lower right side text box, I'll see the actual message...like this...
Notice the name of the Title Bar on Outlook Express...it's now IBT...because I am in the IBT folder. And on the right side, we can see the message info (top right text box), and the actual saved message (lower right text box.) So, that's it...you've successfully received, read, and saved an incoming e-mail. Nice work!
Now, part II...composing e-mails. 1st thing to do is click on the New Mail button on the standard tool bar...it's on the left side of the tool bar...see it? Good...now left click it...once...of course!
Here's what you will see now...a new window...the New Message Window...of course!
So now, we are ready to compose a message using MS Outlook Express. Let's go to the next page to start this process. Click here of click on E-mail IV below.

DO YOU HAVE...
Ideas, Suggestions, or Other Comments for or about the IBT web pages?
If yes...
...just click here for an on-line Feedback Form (new) (left click of course.) The feedback form allows you to type in your comments about the IBT pages and works independent of your e-mail program. Try it...I think you'll like it. It's fast and easy...and quick too. Just type and click...that's all...
or E-mail me at: coach@cybrzn.com
If you click on my e-mail address above, and...with any luck at all...your e-mail program will appear on your screen...complete with my e-mail address already typed in for you. All you have to do it type your idea, suggestion, or other...whatever, click send, and see what happens.
Go ahead...try it! I'd be glad to hear from you and will make every attempt to address your ideas, suggestions, other...with a IBT web page!
Just think, you can play an active role in the development of these IBT web pages. And, of course, I will give you credit on YOUR web page(s) too!
