Several things we should note.  1.  The File Download window says:  You have chosen to download a file from this location. (true...that's what we are trying to do...right?)  2.  the next thing is the file name (the next line on the File Download window.)  It's:  ar405eng.exe (acrobat reader version 4.05 in english and it's an executable file.) from ftp (file transfer protocol) adobe.com.  This is called an FTP site and is used extensively by  websites that have executable programs that are downloadable by their visitors.  FTP is the primary vehicle used on the internet for uploading and downloading files/programs.  As a matter of fact, when I finish these IBT pages on downloading, I will use an FTP program to UPLOAD the pages to my server, on my website, so you can see/use them.  3.  What would you like to do with this file?  I almost always choose Save this program to disk.  It's just my habit to save everything to a folder on my hard "C" drive in a download folder.  If you choose to Run this program from it's current location, it will download and when complete, it will start the installation of  the software.  It's your call, however you'd like to do it.

So, after you make a decision about running the program from this location or saving it to disk, the next step is to click (left click of course) the OK button on the bottom of the File Download window....so, let's do it!

Here's what we will see next: (Since I chose Save it to a disk, my computer opens a new window called Save As...

The famous SAVE AS window....the one that befuddles most of us...at some time or another.  Let's take a closer look at it and them maybe you will be more comfortable with it.

The first thing that you should look at it is the Save In: section (top left) text box.  If  the download folder is not visible,  then you may need/want to click on the drop-down list arrow to the right of the Save In text box.  What you are looking for is the "C" drive.  Once you are there, look at the list of folders on your "C" drive and see if you have a download folder.  If you see it, double left click it to open it.  If not...it's simple to create a new folder and name it download.

On the tool bar of the Save As window  look for the create new folder icon:    It's the 3rd button from the left on the Save As window...find it?  Left click it and the computer will show you a picture of a new folder and the words New Folder will be in the text box below the folder icon and will be highlighted in blue.  Just type (without clicking the mouse button) the word download.  When you are finished, left click anywhere outside the folder, then left click again.  Finally, once your folder is named, double left click it to open it and then...you should have a Save In window that looks just like mine above.
