| Concept: Dodge Power Wagon DaimlerChrysler is still on its retro kick. (Not that we're complaining.) Witness the Dodge Power Wagon, which was shown for the first time at the 1999 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit on January 3rd. The concept truck blends "the raw power and capability of its 1946 namesake with a refined and modern design." The Power Wagon, we are assured, will also be a convenient platform to discuss the latest technology in diesel engines and clean fuels. The original Power Wagons were a no-nonsense series of trucks developed during World War II and then built for many years thereafter as civilian vehicles. R&D |
