A Pun or Two...

(This is an e-mail response to me from Mel, about posting his
Webster's Ductionary of Word Gooseage...recently...I had told
him it was up, asked if he liked the background and music, and if
it was ok to post his e-mail address on the page...

Subject: When in doubt, pun
Dear Coach:
You're just like the geese. You don't let the grass grow under your feet. (They just eat and sheet) You sure work fast. My muse can't keep up with the demand. The brain cells can't think of subjects fast enough. (How about sailboats?) You have done a great job as usual. And you are very clever!
Using the E-mail is O.K. The music sounds great. As I recall, the music was "Classical Gas". I am only familiar with the gas part being the proverbial old f--t.
It will be a while before I do another one. I will run out of audience and besides,
...you probably remember the hungry lion who was roaming through the jungle looking for something to eat.
He came across two men. One was sitting under a tree, reading a book;

the other was typing a nature poem on his computer.
The lion quickly pounced on the man reading the book and devoured him. Even the king of the jungle knows that readers digest and writers cramp.
And also I entered a local paper's pun contest. I sent in ten different puns, in the hope that at least one of the puns would win. Unfortunately, no pun in ten did.
Yours, Wel Made
