For all of you that do "Windows" (and not the kind on your house or car... ) we
at the University of Marinette invite you to attend a two night workshop on the internet
called Internet 101. Get the latest gossip on your favorite Soap Opera stars! Follow your favorite
sports teams! We are going to show you how to find anything from apples to zebra’s, Bug’s
to Beanie Babies. Even chat online for free! Bring a friend.
Register now before it’s too late.II. Workshop Objectives:
The primary objective of this workshop is to have some fun while we attempt to make
you comfortable surfing the net. Hands-on skills training will include Introductions to
both MS Internet Explorer and Netscape Browsers, and others too! In addition,
we will focus on 6 main objectives: 1.) Learning the browsers; 2.)
Searching; 3.) Bookmarks; 4.) E-mail; 5.) Tips/tricks you can use; 6) Have FUN!III. Workshop Resources:
A. MSIE and NS On-line help tools!
B. Handout – Surfing The Net in Style by Jason & Lloyd Cook-1999
C. Various Web Site resources will be presented at the workshopIV. Workshop Outcomes:
By the end of this workshop we should expect you to be able to dazzle and amaze
your friends and relatives as you learn how to find exactly what you are looking for
