Poems From Bard to Verse
by
Mel Wade
Back to The
Future
Though my back is a
problem, I've managed to find
The solution- keep the pain in the back of my mind.
To offer some background, I'll backtrack a bit
(Some back breaking work the causation of it.)
I went to the doc for relief of the pain
"Glad to see your back" he was quoted as sayin".
"Surgery's required". --I was taken a back-
A setback for sure, but I started to pack
To go to a hospital, with fear of bacteria
But I seem to remember the backrubs are superia.
My doc as a backstabber takes a back seat to no one.
But I had no compulsion to actually know one.
When I'm back I'll lean back and turn off any rock
in favor of music by Bacarac or Bach.
