Summer Tennis Lessons

USA Tennis 1-2-3 Little Tennis Lessons

Little tennis is a starter program for boys and girls ages four thru seven.  The class meets in the Dome at the Civic Center on Tuesday and Thursdays for six weeks.  Children ages four and five will participate from 1:00 to 1:45pm, and children ages six and seven will meet from 1:45 to 2:30pm.   Clsses will run from June 15 to July 22.

The cost of participation is $15.00 for city residents and $25.00 for non-residents.  Fees include a Pee Wee tennis racket for first-time participants.  Class size is limited to eighteen per time session, and fees must be paid at the time of registration at the Civic Center.

USA Tennis 1-2-3 Junior Tennis Lessons

The Junior Tennis program is held in conjunction with the National Junior Tennis League (NJTL), sponsored by the united States Tennis Association (USTA).  The program is open to boys and girls ages eight and up, and will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays beginning June 14.  It will run until July 22.  USA Tennis 1-2-3 is for beginner tennis players, and Intermediate and Advanced classes will be held as well.  The cost of participation is $15.00 for City residents, and $25.00 for non-residents.  Fees cover six weeks of lessons, drills, fun games, matches and a free t-shirt.

USA Tennis 1-2-3 Junior Team Tennis

USTA Junior Team Tennis, designed for the serious junior player will be held on Fridays from 8:30 to 11:00am at the Civic Center.  Fee is $15.00 per player, which is for a USTA membership card.  There is no charge for current USTA members.  Runs June 18 to July 24.

USA Tennis 1-2-3 Tennis Carnival

Little Tennis and Junior Tennis Players are invited to join us at the annual Tennis Carnival on July 29 from 8:30 - 11:30 AM.   Lots of fun and games for everyone!

Adult USA Tennis 1-2-3

Tennis lessons for adults ages eighteen and over who are new to tennis or would like to get back into the game are offered   on Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 PM beginning on June 17.  The program features a combination of on-court instruction, supervised play and a novice league - all emphasizijng the fitness and social aspects of the game.  The cost is $25.00 for city residents and $35.00 for non-residents for the nine-week session, payable at the time of registration at the Civic Center.  A great opportunity to swing into shape and make new friends!

Eight and one half laps around the perimeter of the 4-court dome equals one mile.

Rates: There is no charge for walking or running.
